Stratstone 1989

Lithia Motors has come a long way since Walt DeBoer opened his first car dealership in 1946. The company has acquired companies and brands over the years, to further strengthen the choice to customers and potential to investors.

    What's Our Story?

    Established on 1st February 2024, Lithia UK combines over 80 years of automotive retail experience across the United Kingdom. Bringing together the expertise and innovation of well-known retail groups, Jardine Motors Group, Stratstone, Evans Halshaw, QuickCo and Pendragon Vehicle Management, Lithia UK was formed. As a unified UK automotive retail group, we are focussed on growth and creation of exceptional customer experiences.

    1946

    As part of the Lithia & Driveway family, our story began in 1946 with the opening of a Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge store in Ashland, Oregon. 

    1996

    Fifty years later, in 1996, our store network began to grow, and Lithia & Driveway went public launching NYSE: LAD

    Today

    Today, we are recognised as one of the largest global automotive retail groups, fuelled by our mission of Growth Powered by People.

    Lithia & Driveway are listed on the Fortune 500, with representation of over 50 brands with some 400 stores across Northa America, Canada and the United Kingdom.
